So, Aina The End performed at Buraku
Aina The End is a former member of the metal idol group BiSH.
She comes from the "Kawaii Metal" genre, dancing and singing to metal music like BABYMETAL,
but she uses such an excellent metal vocal technique that she could truly be called a metal vocalist.
She is great at vocal fry and can also perform high-pitched whistle notes very well.
That is why there are so many reaction videos of Western fans being shocked after hearing the ending theme for Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury.
Since this style of vocals is quite rare in both Korea and Japan,
if you look for similar singers in Korea, there are almost none recently; you have to dig into the past, and even then, Cherry Filter is about the only one.
Anyway, it seems like her prime has arrived late after BiSH.
She performed at Kohaku Uta Gassen last year, and following Summer Sonic this year, she came to Buraku,
and many people seem to be saying it was a great listening experience. Many people probably had prejudices because they heard she was a former idol.
Her popularity seems to have skyrocketed after the Gundam: The Witch from Mercury ending, followed by performing the openings for Dandadan and One Piece.
It was a shame that her concert in Korea at Yes24 Live Hall was only about half full,
but I hope word spreads this time so that her next concert in Korea is completely sold out.
