[RESCENE] Reflecting on the new song spoilers Leve left today
1. The title is a single character (Hanja)
- At first, I thought it might just be 'Dream' (夢). However, after hearing her mention "remind," my thoughts shifted toward 'Connection/Fate' (緣) or 'Scent' (香). I am leaning toward 'Scent.' This works well as a way to revisit the origins of the group RESCENE at this stage, and it also marks the moment they have truly reached their goal of 'coloring the whole world with an unknown scent.'

2. Concept
- I believe it is most accurate to compare this to something existing. I thought it might be a pure white concept, similar to the "YoYo" era. It ties in easily with the title, and since the weather is getting colder, it fits. If they were making a comeback in October, I would have imagined something deep and warm-toned, but launching a "white" concept preemptively before December feels like a great move.

3. Scent
- RESCENE has always used scent as their concept. This is because the group's origin lies in the idea that 'humans recall memories through scent.' Encountering a smell from childhood by chance as an adult. When the seasons change. When it rains, etc. We also recognize the change of seasons and recall memories through scents in our daily lives. This is professionally known as the Proust Effect. Looking at the scents RESCENE has presented so far, it goes roughly like this:
1st Debut Single
Main Scent: Floral, Burning Flower
Representative Songs: YoYo, UhUh
1st Mini Album
Main Scent: Ambergris, Ambergris (Dragon's Blood)
Representative Songs: LOVE ATTACK, Pinball
2nd Mini Album
Main Scent: Soap Scent
Representative Songs: Glow Up
2nd Single
Main Scent: Grass Scent
Representative Songs: Deja Vu, Mood
3rd Mini Album
Main Scent: Berry Scent
Representative Songs: Heart Drop, Bloom
Digital Single
Main Scent: Incense Scent
Representative Songs: Runaway
Remake Single
Main Scent: Grapefruit Scent
Representative Songs: Pretty Girl.
- What can be learned from this is the fact that RESCENE has used scent to show the identity of their songs or the external images they wish to project through those songs (hair, makeup, outfits, etc.). And the title of the comeback album on November 3rd, which has already been revealed, is PULSE. From Leve's comment today that this album is "RESCENE ♡ Remind," I thought of exactly one scent:
Osmanthus.
- Osmanthus is a scent that blooms between September and October. It is a modest scent, but it has a presence strong enough to overwhelm all other smells. I think this suits the current RESCENE quite well. A single small memory that started it all. And a scent for that one memory. It might have been a scent we simply passed by. But as time passes and we smell that scent again, we are looking back at RESCENE's past and all those scenes as a whole.
- And now, RESCENE pulses (PULSE). As is known from the fact that perfume is applied to where the pulse beats, I believe the theme of this album being PULSE means it is time to 본격적으로 (fully/seriously) scatter their scent. That is why I think a scent like Osmanthus—modest yet strong enough to be felt anywhere, anytime—suits them perfectly.
- Furthermore, Osmanthus also fits the meaning that the current RESCENE and the future RESCENE are no longer just smelling a scent and thinking of them, but that we are together at this moment and will continue to be. This is because Osmanthus is a golden flower and is also called "Manrihyang" (Scent of Ten Thousand Miles) because its scent is so thick and travels so far. At the same time, it carries meanings of first love, true love, eternal friendship, and humility. I believe this connects to what Leve meant by "RESCENE ♡ Remind."

4. Conclusion
- Whatever it may be, I hope they continue their scent healthily for a long time. To me, they are a group that went from being an existence that gave me laughter on YouTube during the hardest moments of my life, to a group that taught me for the first time in my life what it truly means to sincerely support someone else without any personal greed. I guess that's why I'm doing this kind of fan activity.
