The real question is when the winning streak of gold medals and military exemptions in soccer or baseball will finally be broken

‌Even when people ask how we can win gold medals given our consistently poor World Cup performances, the conversation seems to have shifted to when the records of Lee Kwang-jong, Kim Hak-bum, Hwang Sun-hong, and Lee Min-seong—who all won gold—will be broken. If we fail to win, wouldn't public opinion turn even more negative than when we fail at the World Cup? And people will probably mock them relentlessly regarding military enlistment, right?
