Japanese Drama - Gasman Review

An interesting hero concept,
A fairly well-developed setting,
Visuals and direction that look like they had a decent budget.....
The acting isn't bad either. Actually, it's good.
So, I had some expectations...
However, I was quite disappointed.
It is a drama where the pursuit of a plot twist
completely ruined the overall quality.
-------------Major Spoilers Below------------------
The reveal that the reporter was the mastermind right when things were going well
is a direction that mocks the audience.
It is not convincing at all.
Because the character's actions before and after the reveal make no sense,
the twist feels less like a twist and more like an insult to the viewers.
There are also many forced plot developments that defy common sense.
The horror siblings' video only has 7 views,
so how on earth did the reporter find them so easily?
How did the Yakuza know the horror siblings existed,
and how did they know exactly where to find their house?
That is information even the police would find difficult to uncover.
Besides that,
the Yakuza show up at just the right places to cause chaos,
yet no suspicious police officers appear,
and even though the media-famous Gasman is roaming the plaza,
the only person who notices is the younger sister of the horror siblings, which was absurd.
It felt like a drama where a randomly cooked side dish was placed on a well-prepared table,
ruining the whole meal.
It's a drama that is hard to recommend..
But since there might be people who enjoy it,
if you like Japanese dramas, give it a watch.
