I heard Korea's GDP per capita will exceed $50,000. Is this a fact?

‌At that level, it would be on par with France or the UK.
Will it really rise that much?
I saw somewhere that it will exceed $40,000 this year and $50,000 within three years.
If that's the case, it's not just about Japan... wouldn't we be approaching Italy's level in terms of total GDP as well?
