Is there no AI technology yet for swapping the faces of performers in variety shows or dramas?

In the case of Cho Jin-woong in Signal, is there no technology yet to simply swap his face with someone else's?
It might reduce immersion in the drama, but wouldn't that be better than scrapping the broadcast entirely?
