The "Korean Premium" is actually insane

When traveling abroad, including to Japan, it feels like a cheat code how many foreigners approach you speaking Korean.
I'd say it's almost on the same level as English.
If you watch travel videos of Japan or Southeast Asia, you'll see that foreigners basically know a few Korean words, and there are tons of people who can even hold a decent conversation.
