Former President Moon Jae-in Donates 10 Million Won to His Hometown, Geoje, Following Heavy Rainfall

Former President Moon Jae-in / TV Chosun broadcast screen capture. Former President Moon Jae-in has donated funds to aid in flood recovery efforts in his hometown of Geoje, Gyeongnam, which suffered significant damage from extreme heavy rainfall.
Geoje City announced on the 21st that former President Moon donated 10 million won to the city through the Hometown Love Donation Program.
The city reported that since the implementation of the Hometown Love Donation Program, former President Moon has donated to Geoje every year, demonstrating his consistent interest and affection for his hometown.
During the Liberation Day holiday, Geoje experienced record-breaking rainfall exceeding 900mm, causing flooding in houses, shops, roads, and farmland across the region, as well as casualties due to landslides.
A city official stated, "We express our deepest gratitude to him for sharing his warm heart for his hometown, Geoje," and added, "We will do our best to ensure that these precious donations help with damage recovery and the restoration of residents' daily lives."
The city is currently conducting a fundraising campaign through the Hometown Love Donation Program to support heavy rain damage recovery and provide assistance to affected residents.
