On the 8th, Blue House Senior Spokesperson Kang Yu-jung announced via a written briefing that after observing the test launch of a hypersonic glide vehicle, President Lee visited the nearby Anheung Port to personally inquire about the livelihoods of residents and the business conditions of merchants.
During the visit, merchants appealed to President Lee regarding their business difficulties, saying, "Even when anglers visit the port, they often do not make it to the restaurants."
President Lee also asked a merchant selling fishing gear how business was going. The merchant discussed local civil complaints and requested a resolution, and President Lee reportedly personally instructed staff to take down the merchant's name and phone number. The staff directly received the merchant's name and contact information.
Additionally, President Lee greeted merchants preparing cuttlefish for sale and those who had caught a lot of rockfish. Senior Spokesperson Kang explained that during this process, when one merchant said, "I'm embarrassed because my hands are dirty," President Lee replied, "It doesn't matter," shook hands anyway, and took a photo together.
President Lee also took selfies with middle school first-year female students who recognized him. In particular, he expressed gratitude to a citizen who said, "My older sister went to protests all winter after the December 3rd martial law declaration," telling them, "Please tell her thank you."

Senior Spokesperson Kang stated, "He encouraged merchants working during the holidays and communicated informally with citizens visiting the port, personally inspecting the local economy and the difficulties of public livelihood."
In the video titled 'Anheung(?)하세요 Anheung Port Jaemyung-log' posted on President Lee Jae-myung's official YouTube channel, citizens greeted President Lee with words such as "You are wonderful" and "Please take care of your health" upon seeing him. When one citizen said, "Please be president for a long, long time," President Lee joked, "If you say things like that, there will be trouble."
Meanwhile, President Lee observed the site of the first test launch of a hypersonic glide vehicle (HGV) currently under research and development with domestic technology. An HGV is a missile that accelerates to the upper atmosphere using a booster and then separates from the booster to glide at a low altitude.
Upon receiving the report of the successful launch at the site, President Lee emphasized, "Our security must be secured by our own strength," adding, "The government will also support the development and deployment of advanced weapons so that the people have no worries."
