How do you position your right foot when driving with ACC engaged on the highway?

‌I don't press down on the accelerator, but I just rest my foot on it while driving.
At first, I used to drive with my right foot off the accelerator, but in sudden situations,
it felt like there was a time lag between my brain and my foot.
So now, I just keep my foot on the accelerator so that when I need to hit the brakes,
I can react quickly and move my foot easily.
Where do you all keep your right foot while driving..?
