Autonomous driving and SDVs make an EV-centric future inevitable
No matter how much I think about it, the counter-argument that autonomous vehicles will be based on internal combustion engines (+HEV) just doesn't make sense.
Electronic components and automotive technology are advancing day by day,
and since driving range, charging speed, and safety have also improved exponentially, the EV market is bound to become more solid.
Only the "doomers" deny it, but to perfectly implement mobility platforms like autonomous driving or robotaxis, EVs are essential.
The same goes for software.
Automotive semiconductors and ECUs are becoming increasingly sophisticated, and vehicle performance is being improved through OTA (Over-the-Air) updates while various new functions are being added—and you're saying we should regress from this?
It makes no sense.
The future of the entire automotive industry and the supporting electronics industry can only culminate in electric vehicles.
