They say eating heartily at a funeral is a good thing

I went there with a firm mindset because people say that's how it should be,
but there was no one eating like that, and no one was acting out or being rowdy.
Most people just quietly chatted and then left.
It wasn't intentional, but I ended up going on an empty stomach, and I couldn't even ask for a refill of the seasoned skate, so I just ate the basic side dishes and left.
