Wouldn't military service postponement be a better benefit than exemption?
Machine translated
If you win a gold medal, you can postpone enlistment until age 35, but you must serve as active duty.
What do you think about this?
Since athletes will generally have similar physical strength to 20-year-old men,
I think this could be a good option...
By the time they are around 35, their careers will likely be winding down and they will have earned most of what they can,
so this would still be a massive benefit.
