Do you usually buy suits at department stores?

Wealthy people would obviously buy them there, but aren't they a bit expensive for average office workers? I usually buy mine online or at outlets because there isn't a huge difference in quality.
Still, seeing how brands manage to maintain their presence in department stores, I assume there must be quite a large number of customers buying there, right?
