The Father of IMAX

The IMAX theater in the 63 Building in Yeouido was completely closed on August 3, 2015, and no longer exists.
Having opened in 1985, it was highly beloved as Korea's first IMAX theater, but it closed due to aging facilities and a decline in visitors.
History and Features: Opening Date: July 27, 1985 (opened simultaneously with the completion of the 63 Building)
Scale: An ultra-large screen filling a massive 4 to 6-story building (approx. 24–25m wide, 18m high) with over 500 seats
Seating Evolution: In 2009, it changed its name to 63 Art Hall to host both movies and performances, and after transitioning to digital 3D and other updates, it ceased operations in 2015.
Now it is a duty-free shop...
