Expand the Asian Games to the Asia-Pacific Games by including Australia, New Zealand, and Pacific nations

Is there no push to expand this into the Asia-Pacific Games?
In football, Australia belongs to Asia,
and they have sports competitions with Pacific nations as well, right?
Currently, it seems like South Korea and Japan are destined to just be supporting actors for China,
but to raise the overall level, I think Australia and New Zealand should be included.
