Why are these trypophobic, disgusting ads appearing on YouTube?

Since even 2-minute ads aren't working, are they now resorting to broadcasting these disgusting ads?
I keep seeing ads where thorns are growing out of a baby's body and a grandmother is removing them, or something like that. Why on earth are these disgusting ads being shown?
