What is the psychology behind older men sharing those "inspirational quotes" on KakaoTalk?

This mostly happens with people around my father's age..
Political posts go without saying..
But why do they keep sharing these inspirational quotes from unknown sources? lol
Is it a desire to offer words of blessing..
It's interesting and fascinating because it seems to be a characteristic of a specific age group...
