Raccoons must be incredibly strong; they're taking over all the cat habitats(?)

I live by Jungnangcheon Stream.
I see this almost every day while walking or running around.
Stray cats have been here for a long time.
Raccoons started appearing about 5 years ago.
About 2–3 years ago, the territory split into raccoon areas and cat areas.
This year, it seems the raccoons have driven all the cats out; the cats have almost disappeared.
Wherever you go along the riverbank, they are swarming with raccoons. Their population is massive.
Recently, raccoon families have even started appearing inside apartment complexes.
The local stray cats have largely fled to the underground parking lots to live.
That's a sight I see every day in the underground parking lots lately.
If you park near the paths where cats usually roam, nine times out of ten, there are paw prints on the hood or windshield.
