Why on earth are meetings held at 8:00 AM?? ㅡㅡ

My work starts at 8:30 AM
But if the meeting is at 8:00, I basically have to arrive at least 35–40 minutes early
And it's not like they let me go home 40 minutes early
When I asked why
The reason is just that the old guys at the top are obsessed with "let's get an early start"
What a load of crap
As if they don't know we're just trying to avoid doing actual work during business hours
