Japan is just a rude country in general

I loved Japanese culture so much when I was young and traveled there a lot.
They are clean and kind, but there are many parts that feel quite rude.
It's really about very minor things, but
First of all, looking at the hotels, the check-in and check-out times are incredibly strict.
There are quite a few places that tell you to check out by 10:00 AM. It's so frustrating.
Even when I went to a restaurant, of course, everyone ordered at least one item,
but separately from that, regarding some simple snacks I bought during my trip,
I tried a small taste of them while having a conversation,
and the staff watched me like a hawk and actively stopped me from eating it.
Of course, strictly speaking, you shouldn't do that,
but I got a strong feeling that they live such exhausting lives.
And since the number of foreign tourists has skyrocketed lately, they are hitting people with huge accommodation and departure taxes.
On the contrary, traveling in China or Southeast Asia feels much more refreshing and relaxed.
Additionally, the cost of living itself is the core of the rudeness lol.
Regardless of their perspective as citizens, from a foreigner's point of view, it just looks rude.
