Record for Consecutive Weeks as World No. 1 in Badminton

The 1st and 2nd rankings are actually the most meaningless.
The 1st ranked Indonesian men's doubles team held the top spot for 215 consecutive weeks, but they have never reached the semifinals of the World Championships or the Olympics. In other words, they are a team without an Olympic or World Championship medal.
The 2nd ranked Lee Chong Wei is a player who has never won an Olympic, World Championship, or Asian Games gold medal.
An Se-young has a cumulative 164 weeks at World No. 1, but due to association issues after the Olympics, she missed competitions and dropped to 2nd place for 2 weeks. Her consecutive weeks have increased to 102, and since her No. 1 spot is almost certain until early next year, reaching over 130 consecutive weeks will be easy.
