But why are there so many people who treat football like obsessed politicians?

They take some random, baseless speculation regarding national team gossip
and spend all day spamming posts with foul language and extreme aggression.
Even if I make a huge concession and assume all their claims are correct,
it's not a crime and it's nothing significant.
If it were related to politics, which actually affects my life, I might at least understand,
but I wonder why they act like this over mere ball games.
I'm curious if they are that strict with their own lives as well.
