Taiwanese honey is truly excellent
Since I love honey, I have tried all the varieties known to be good worldwide, collecting them while traveling to various places.
Because the natural environment usually determines the quality of honey, honey from the jungles of Cambodia, the high altitudes of Yunnan, or the edges of high mountain ranges in Central Asia shows top-tier quality.
However, those are difficult to obtain and expensive, so it isn't easy.
Among the varieties that are generally available, Taiwanese honey is quite good.
Taiwan primarily produces honey from lychee or longan trees,
so the honey has a unique and fragrant aroma of lychee or longan.
The price is under 50,000 KRW per bottle, so it's not too burdensome, and it's not very difficult to get if you use a freight forwarding service.
I buy a few bottles every year to share with my family and acquaintances, and the feedback has been quite good.
Domestic Honey Evaluation - Beekeeping Association bee.org.tw
This is the Taiwan Beekeeping Association website. Around the time the winners of the annual honey evaluation competition are announced, you can search for the farm names on Google to find their sites. Although the process of using a freight forwarder to import them is a bit tedious,
if you have a certain level of interest in honey, I would recommend trying it because
it offers great value for the money.
