Living abroad makes you realize that Chinese people are actually quite decent
In Korea, most immigrants are from Southeast Asia, China, or are ethnic Koreans from China (Joseonjok), and there are many people who criticize Chinese people due to anti-Chinese sentiment.
However, if you look not only at Southeast Asian countries like Singapore, where the Chinese-descended Muslim community is part of the capitalist class, but also at immigrant nations like the US or Europe, Chinese people are simply very hardworking and exemplary citizens. It is a characteristic of East Asians: parents prioritize their children's education, they are tenacious, they are sensitive to hierarchies such as academic degrees, they are relatively introverted, and they have low crime rates.
When I go to a country without Korean restaurants, I go to Chinese restaurants to eat. Because Chinese people are so diligent, they operate late into the night with almost no days off, and the taste of the food is actually quite similar to Korean food in many cases. Also, I have frequently visited Chinese districts like Daerim or the Chinese food streets in Konkuk University in Korea, and I always feel that both Joseonjok and Chinese people are very good at business because they are quick with calculations. While that might be perceived negatively, there are aspects worth emulating.
