I didn't realize Tae Jin-ah had been active since the 90s

‌When I first started listening to popular music, I caught glimpses of songs like "Yellow Handkerchief."
Even back then, from a child's perspective, "Yellow Handkerchief" felt too old-fashioned and didn't quite feel like "our" kind of song.
It was the kind of image that kids would sing along to jokingly or use to make fun of.
Because of that, I thought Tae Jin-ah was a singer who had his heyday around the 70s. I assumed he was a star whose sun had already set by the 90s.
The period when I first encountered that song was around '94, and I thought the song "Yellow Handkerchief" itself was already about 10 years old lol.
But after looking it up, it turns out Tae Jin-ah had actually started his full-scale activities just a few years before that time.
