Some media reports claiming that the body of 37-year-old Jang Mi-ran, who went missing near Hallim Port in Jeju, has been discovered, have been confirmed by the police as clearly false reports. While it is true that a body was discovered at a certain location in Jeju on that day, it was not Ms. Jang, but rather a missing person from another case that a police officer had falsely closed. The search operation for Ms. Jang Mi-ran is still ongoing.
This is no ordinary matter.
The fact that they intentionally hid the case is one thing,
but they should be investigated to see if this false closure was a one-time occurrence or if there are more crimes involved.
