It is a fact that Hyundai-Kia is in a dangerous position.

They say they are good at electric vehicles, but they are currently getting crushed in Europe. Four years ago, their combined sales ranked 2nd in Europe, but now only a single model is in the top 20. The reason Hyundai-Kia reached 3rd globally is because they overtook Japanese automakers like Toyota in the North American market.
The EV chasm is slowly being broken down by autonomous driving technology, and the problem is that the future competitors are not companies like Toyota, Nissan, Honda, or GM, but rather Tesla + Chinese cars.
Hyundai's management, who are ranked 3rd in the world, keep saying, "Don't you think we know better than [the author]?" If they knew that much, they wouldn't have been swindled out of trillions of won by 42dot. If they fail to succeed with NVIDIA AlphaMayo, they will sink along with Toyota; if they succeed, they will become the number one subcontractor.
Even the flagship GV90 has a lagging UI, which represents Hyundai's current state. I believe there is no hope unless they hand over organizational leadership to the software and electronics sectors. However, I don't think a single legacy automaker is capable of doing this. Since they are national strategic industries in each country, they will somehow keep them on life support, but that will be all.
