[Women's Basketball] Shinhan vs. Victoria First Half Review
Victoria is a team from the NBL1 league that Park Ji-hyun previously played in, but they feel weaker than Carleton University, who played in the 4 PM game.
They said they had been practicing for about three weeks, but aside from Smith's 3-pointers, they don't seem to be at a level worth competing with, whether in terms of individual skill or teamwork.
Shinhan is using this opportunity to test various combinations, and Shim Soo-hyun is looking particularly good today compared to her usual performance. If she continues like this, it looks like Heo Yu-jung will struggle to get playing time this season except for garbage time, and Lee Ga-hyun will likely be used heavily in a backup center role.
I was near General Manager Seo Dong-cheol, and after seeing an article about a KB fan discussing a relocation of the home city, I bombarded Coach Seo with questions lol.
(Even though he is a former coach, why ask the current Shinhan GM? lol)
There is an article stating that they seem to be considering the sale of the Cheonan training center, but they maintain that discussions regarding relocating the home city are not taking place. It's a bit out of the blue.
It seems difficult to gauge the team's true strength from today's game, but since they will likely face Fujitsu in the semifinals, the important thing will be how much of a performance they can show then. They'll probably lose anyway.
