In the Gyeongbuk region, Yeungnam University is effectively the national university

‌Since Daegu relies solely on Kyungpook National University anyway,
regional subsidies and national treasury funds are all absorbed into supporting the national university.
But what about the Gyeongbuk side?
There is Andong National University, but it is quite weak.
You can basically say that Yeungnam University takes the lion's share
of university-related subsidies in the Gyeongbuk area.
(POSTECH is a place that runs well on its own regardless)
Sometimes I go to Yeungnam University for industry-academic cooperation,
and since the subway is connected, it feels almost like Daegu (it takes about the same time as going to Keimyung University).
