Riding two rows on an escalator... is not easy

Especially at transfer stations during rush hour,
forget about standing in a single line,
there are many cases where people are busily walking up both rows.
People on the right side stand,
while the left lane is for busy people
walking up quickly.
Since the rule is "no walking" and "stand in two rows,"
standing right in the middle of the empty left lane
to block the way?
A normal person could never do that.
It's a matter beyond regulations or safety lol
And it's even more so when there are no stairs, only escalators..
